BACK TO HOMEPAGE Transferring your favorite photographs or slides into a digital video tribute is the perfect way to preserve and share your memories. A tribute to a loved one will be a gift to cherish forever. A custom made tribute becomes a nostalgic, permanent part of your history to preserve and pass on to your family.With your images, I incorporate still pictures, video, narration, music, graphics, and multiple transitions, resulting in a unique and personal experience. What distinguishes my tributes from others is the attention to detail and my personal touch. With available software today, most anyone can combine photographs and music for a slideshow. My goal is to make your images come alive as if they are occurring in real-time. You deserve nothing less. TYPES OF TRIBUTES: A tribute may represent many types of events; births, baptisms, birthdays, bar/bat mitzvahs, proms, graduations, engagements, weddings, anniversaries, family gatherings, vacations, sports, performing arts, and many other events where you want to capture the memories. A tribute to the family pet is also a precious memory to treasure. My memorial tribute will honor a loved one's passing with a "through the years" montage. Capturing and preserving those precious memories of their life in a tribute will give you a record to remember your time together and to share with other generations. PREPARING YOUR TRIBUTE: When creating a digital tribute it is the QUALITY of the images not the quantity. Pleasant, happy, smiling pictures make the best tributes. When choosing which pictures to use it's best to lay them all out on a large table or on the floor. Depending on the subject, this can be a great family project to share together. Start with the oldest photos and begin to "create" a story. Regardless of tribute type, a sequential order develops a time-line. Creating a memorial tribute requires the most attention to photograph selection. It’s best to keep the pictures flattering. Always choose pictures that your loved one would want to be remembered in. Should you have a picture that captures a special moment with an undesirable background,I am able to digitally alter the background image. Sometimes it’s helpful to look at a picture through the eyes of a stranger. If this picture were shown to you for the first time would it make sense? Does it represent the character of the person? Remember that this is a story of their life. Lastly, the farewell photos. These images will complete the story of your loved one's life. PRICING AND SERVICES: All inclusive per image fee. No "hidden" costs. $1.50 each for hard copy scanning of pictures, negatives, or 35mm slides, or any other scannable media (childrens artwork, drawings, newspaper clippings, etc) to digital format. Note: Please mark back of picture or on post-it note the order number of appearance. 001, 002, 003, etc. $1.00 each for electronic image on cd/dvd or email attachments. Please scan no less than 200 dpi. and save digital image in jpeg format. Rename the image on media in the order of tribute appearance. 001, 002, 003, etc. If mixing prints and digital images mark sequentially i.e. print 001, print 002, jpeg 003, jpeg 004, print 005, jpeg 006 etc. $3.00 up to 30 seconds of digital video clip (mpeg, avi). $5.00 up to 30 seconds of analog vhs video No charge for music you provide from store purchased CD. I must physically recieve the original CD from you.I can provide music from a licensed download service and will charge you cost of download, typically $1-$2 per song. Depending on the type of tribute, plan on approximately 3-4 minutes of music for every 35 pictures. Pricing includes the following services: -One to two hour creative consultation to discuss your tribute ideas. -Digital image manipulation (removing or adding objects, people) -Color, black and white, selective desaturation, sepia conversion. -Minor image adjustments/enhancement such as color, red eye, blemish removal, teeth whitening, scratch and tear repairs. -Multiple transition and motion effects including pan and zoom -Stock images for transitions and/or effects -Opening/Closing and image titles. -Unlimited image captions (write caption on post-it note). -DVD includes images archived in jpeg format. Additional Charges: -Additional DVD: $15.00 each -Major photo restoration: $25.00/hr -For delivery by USPS or other carrier, shipping and handling charges will be added to your order. Please allow 2-3 weeks per 150 photos for production. Rush orders can be arranged. Materials will be returned at time of project completion. MBK is not responsible for photos or materials that are lost in transit or damaged. Digital master of tribute video will be kept on file for 60 days. TERMS & CONDITIONS: When submitting photographs, videotapes, films, slides, Music CD's or any other media whether for duplication, conversion, video transfer or for any other reason, client acknowledges and agrees that Memories By Ken shall not be liable for any loss or damage to such materials following receipt and during processing of such materials and that the client’s sole remedy shall be replacement with a similar amount of blank video, DVD, or CD. Memories By Ken makes no other warranty and assumes no other risk and shall not be liable for any indirect damages resulting from client’s use of our services. Client warrants that the videotape, film, photographs, slides or other media submitted to Memories By Ken for processing is not protected by a third party copyright owner or if protected, the client has obtained permission of such third party copyright holder to make copies.
